What's the difference between the Standard and Premium Notched Pergolas?

Our Pergola Kits do not include the Post Bracket Kit. The Bracket Kit is purchased separately to allow you the option to attach your own brackets and fixings. You may have different requirements or needs. Every Pergola should be fixed to the ground providing a positive hold-down for the structure.

Would you like posts cut to length, pre-drilled and post brackets pre-fit?
Have Garden Envi cut the post to length, pre-drill the holes and fit the post bracket. This makes your installation a lot easier and ensures that the top of your Pergola is level.
*Laser Level measurements must be provided.
Why do the posts need to be cut?
- Most concrete slabs have a bit of fall so that the water runs off.
- This makes each individual post height different,
due to its location on the slab. - This measurement can vary from a couple of millimeters to 3 or 4 cm.
- Cutting the posts to length ensures that the top of your Pergola is level.
When we cut your post to length we also pre-drill the holes and fit the post brackets offering an easier installation for you.
I already have a laser - What do I do?
- We offer easy-to-follow instructions so you know what measurements to provide.
- Simply send us your laser level measurments for each post.
- Select your Post Bracket type and Select Cut Post to Length.

What kind of Pergola Profile?
Garden Envi is currently offering the Splayed Pergola profile in our DIY Kits.
More Pergola Profiles will be added as our product lines expand.
What kind of timber is used in the kits?
Our Pergolas are all built with exterior H3 LOSP-treated laminated Pine. It is a pre-primed product that has minimal to no visible knots and a smooth finish. It does have visible timber grain, minor blemishes, and lamination lines. It must be painted for external use. Choose to paint it yourself or select Garden Envi's premium painting process.
Laminated Pine is an Eco-Friendly quality pine product that is sourced from Plantation Forests. The Pine Plantation Forests provide a great benefit to the environment by absorbing greenhouse gasses and releasing oxygen.
Laminated Pine timber is a sustainable product with a superior primer finish and the timber manufacturer has a 25-year durability guarantee.
Painting Options
We are currently providing 3 finishing options.
All our DIY Products require painting and can not be left in a raw natural state.
- Primed Ready for Paint - Premium Exterior Primer which includes every piece being hand-sanded and filled.
- Fully Painted - Premium Exterior Primer, hand sanded and filled, with a minimum of 3 coats of Premium External Paint in Dulux Lexicon White.
- Fully Painted - Custom Color

Are the Pergolas easy to install?
Garden Envi provides simple step-by-step instructions included in your supplied fixings package. You will need a minimum of 2 people to set up the Pergola. Our Pergolas take only a few hours to set up. A few simple tools will be required.

Do we have a display center?
Our DIY Pergola Kits and Bespoke Structures are all made to order and available online only. We do not have a display centre. We are very proud of the high quality of all our products, please browse through our photo galleries to see pictures of the structures, high quality finish and painting.
Do I need Council Approval?
All our DIY Pergolas are within the 10 sq meter constraint and are classified as self assess-able and do not require a Building Application; however, if you install your Pergola with a max height that exceeds 2.4 m above natural ground level it will trigger a Building Application.
You also need to consider the placement of your new structure and how close it is to the boundary. If your Pergola is an entertainment area it should be set 1.5 m off the property boundary and you should check with your local council to find out if you need to apply for a Siting (Relaxation) Application.

What methods of Payment are available?
Garden Envi currently uses the Shopify merchant account that accepts all major credit cards including Shop Pay, Google Pay, and Paypal.
Do you offer EzyPay?
Garden Envi does not currently offer layby or EzyPay Payment methods.
What happens if damage occurs during shipping?
Garden Envi packages all our products into timber packs which are wrapped with UV protected timber wrap. If any damage occurs during freight, please contact us directly and provide pictures of any damage that has occurred to the unopened timber package.
Can I return an Item?
Only items that have been unopened and in their original packaging can be returned. Return freight is not included and must be arranged by the customer. Once the item has been returned and confirmed to be in its original condition a refund will be processed.

Would you like posts cut to length, pre-drilled and post brackets pre-fit?
Garden Envi will precisely cut the post to the required length, pre-drill the necessary holes, and install the post bracket. This service simplifies your installation process and guarantees a level Pergola top.

Why do the posts need to be cut?
- Most concrete slabs are designed with a slight gradient to facilitate water runoff.
- As a result, the height of each post varies depending on its position on the slab.
- This variation can range from a few millimeters to 3 or 4 centimeters.
- Cutting the posts to the correct length ensures that the top of your pergola remains level.
We also pre-drill the holes and fit the post brackets, ensuring your installation journey is smooth and uncomplicated.

- We provide clear instructions to ensure accurate measurements.
- Send us your laser level measurements for each post.

Garden Envi is pleased to offer the Splayed Pergola profile in our DIY Kits. Additional Pergola Profiles will be introduced as we continue to expand our product range.

You may choose to paint it yourself or opt for Garden Envi's premium painting service.

What kind of Painting options do you offer?
We offer three finishing options for our products. All DIY products must be painted and should not remain in their primed state.
- Primed and Ready for Paint - Each piece is hand-sanded, filled, and coated with a premium exterior primer.
- Fully Painted - Includes a premium exterior primer, hand-sanding, filling, and a minimum of three coats of Dulux Lexicon White premium exterior paint.
- Fully Painted - Custom Color

Are the Pergolas easy to install?
Garden Envi provides Easy-to-Follow instructions included in your supplied fixings package. Imagine the satisfaction of setting it up in just a few hours with a friend! A few tools you may need:

What delivery options are available?
Once your order is placed, your Pergola Kit arrives in 3-6 weeks!
Our products are carefully packaged and delivered by Garden Envi to ensure your kit gets to you safely and in perfect condition.

Do you have a store with showroom?
Do I need Council Approval?
All our DIY Pergolas comply with the 10 square meter constraint and are classified as self-assessable, thus not requiring a Building Application. However, if the installed Pergola exceeds a maximum height of 2.4 meters above natural ground level, a Building Application will be necessary.
Consider the placement of your new structure in relation to the property boundary. For entertainment areas, the Pergola should be positioned at least 1.5 meters from the boundary. Please consult your local council to determine if a Siting (Relaxation) Application is required.
